About the Course
What do Jews believe about God, prayer, human responsibility, the afterlife, and the Messiah? And is there actually a single Jewish answer to these questions? This six-part course invites you to discover a variety of approaches to Jewish beliefs and the evolution of core ideas of faith over the centuries. With special attention to questions often asked by those new to Judaism, we will come to appreciate Jewish belief as lived, reflective, and evolving. The course moves back and forth from diverse classical and rabbinic sources to the personal Jewish identities and explorations of the participants. You will be invited to share your thoughts and experiences, and to learn from others. All parts of your complex and developing identity are welcomed, so bring your full self! Closed Captioning will be available for this course.
