About the Course

This course is designed to introduce the student to the many metaphors that are used in the Five Books of Moses. Together, we will explore the usage of this literary device, the complexities inherent in decoding the metaphorical phrases found in the Torah, and the possible connections that these metaphors have to Ancient Near Eastern literature.
